How to set up your email account in Outlook 2019
This guide will explain how to set up your email address in Microsoft Outlook 2019 for customers using LCN Web hosting, WordPress hosting, Email hosting or LiteMail with an Authenticated SMTP.
Before you get started, you’ll need to have your email address and password handy. If you can’t remember these details, you can check and reset them from your LCN account.
You will also need to ensure you have Authenticated SMTP enabled. You can find out how to do this here.

Let’s get started…
Outlook 2019 Automatic Setup
- Open the File menu and click the Add Account button.
- Enter your email address in the field provided.
- Click Connect.
Please note: The account will automatically configure the settings for you. If this step fails, try to manually set up the email account using the instructions below.
- Enter your email account password into the Password field and click Connect.
- A box will show saying Account setup is complete, click Done
Manual Setup
If the above steps fail, you can manually enter the account settings by following the instructions below:
- Open the File menu and click the Add Account button.
- Enter your email address in the field provided.
- Click Advanced options.
- Tick the option Let me set up my account manually and click Connect.
- Fill in your Password
- Select either POP or IMAP.
- Complete all of the fields using the details below:
Incoming mail:
- Server: mail.lcn.com
- Port: 993 or 995
- Encryption method: SSL/TLS
Outgoing mail:
- Server: mail.lcn.com
- Port: 465
- Encryption method: SSL/TLS
- Once completed, click Next.
- A password field will pop-up again, feel free to retype to make sure you have not made a typo.
- A box will show saying Account setup is complete, click Done.
The above also applies when adding any additional email accounts. If you have any trouble setting up your email addresses, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Please Note: Depending on your internet service provider, the default port of 25 should allow you to send email. If you find that you are having problems, the first step would be to change the port from 25 to 26 or 587. This can be done from Manage profiles, Email Accounts, select the email, More Settings and move to the Advanced tab.
