How to Create Backups and Restore Backups

Creating a backup of your website is a smart step before making significant changes. This allows you to restore the backup if you’re not satisfied with the updates. 

This is a premium feature only, so if you don’t have access to this but would like to, please upgrade your website through your Online Control Panel or contact our Sales team on 0345 363 3637.

Getting Started

To get started, you first need to log into the web builder through your Online Control Panel. Unsure how to do so? Follow our guide HERE

How to Create a Backup

Step One

In the administration of your project, click Administration < Backup and Recovery

Alternatively, you have the option of creating a backup through the editor. To do so, click Settings. 

Step Two

Click Backup and Recovery < Manage Backups

Step Three

Click Create new backup. 

Step Four

Enter the name of the backup you want. Once done, click Create Backup

Step Five

The backup has now been saved and has been made available for recovery

You can also delete a backup by selecting it and confirming with the Delete button. 

How to Restore a Backup

Step One

In the administration of your project, click Administration < Backup and Recovery

Alternatively, you have the option of recovering a backup through the editor. To do so, click Settings. 

Step Two

Click Backup and Recovery < Manage Backups

Step Three

Select your chosen back up and click Restore

Step Four

Click Restore backup to confirm the changes.
