Allowing Access to Password Protected Pages
Info: This article applies to Website Builder purchases made after 14th January 2025. For further assistance, please contact our support team.
By default, each new member will need manual approval. However, you can enable automatic approval in Settings if preferred. We will show you the steps involved below.
Getting Started
To get started, you first need to log into the web builder through your Online Control Panel. Unsure how to do so? Follow our guide HERE
Step One
Click Settings.
Step Two
In Settings, you can disable manual member approval by clicking on Approve registrations manually. When the button is grey, all new members will be approved automatically.
When you approve a new user’s registration request submitted via your website’s registration form, they will receive an automatic email informing them of their approval and access to protected pages. Users whose requests are disapproved will not receive any notification.
NOTE: If you manually add a member to your approved list, they will not receive an automated notification, so you’ll need to inform them personally.
If auto-approval is enabled, new users will gain access to password-protected pages immediately after registering. With manual approval enabled, you’ll receive a notification for each new registration, allowing you to approve or deny access directly from that email.
Step Three
You can modify the email notifications for new registrations in Membership settings by clicking Change email.
Step Four
You can manage your list of members by logging into your website’s administration and then clicking on Registered members.
You will then see a list of your registered members, where you can approve or block users. Additionally, you can manually add new members by clicking Add member.
User accounts can be deleted by selecting the user and then clicking Delete member.
You can also approve, delete, or block multiple users simultaneously.
