How to manage DNS in Plesk

This guide will explain how to manage DNS settings for domains in Plesk using either the Power-user or Service-provider interfaces.

You can manage DNS settings for domains via Plesk if the nameservers for the domain are pointing to your Cloud-server. If the domain uses external nameservers then DNS settings can’t be managed through the Plesk panel.

  3. You can then manage existing DNS records for the domain and create any new records required from this page.
    • To edit a record, click the link below the host column of the table of records.
    • To add a new record click add record, you can then select the record type, domain name (if the record needs to be added for a sub-domain) and set the value for the record depending on the record type you are creating.
    • To remove a DNS record, click the tick-box alongside the record then click the remove button
    • To reset the DNS zone to the default values set in the Plesk DNS template click Reset to default.
