How to change your FTP password
If you’re using LCN.com web hosting or WordPress hosting packages, this guide will show you how to change your FTP password.
Please note: Your FTP is usually shared with a mailbox username. Changing your FTP password may change your mailbox password and vice versa.

Let’s get started…
- Login to your LCN.com account and head to your Control Panel.
- Click on the domain you wish to update the FTP for.
- Click on Hosting settings followed by FTP Users.
- You will now see your FTP Usernames and if they are enabled. Click on the name you wish to update.
- In the first box labelled Password enter your new password.
Please Note: To make sure your chosen password is secure you will need to make sure that it is at least 8 characters long, it must also include at least 3 of the following: Lower case letter, upper case letter, number, special character. For a guide on making a secure password click here.
- Confirm password in the second box.
- Scroll down and click Save
That’s it! You’ve changed your FTP account password.
